It would be really nice if, when you clicked on a particular ship, you had the option of cycling through a description/history for the ship, physical stats for the ship (base and upgraded), and the view with a list of current weapon systems installed. Then, instead of clicking on the individual upgrade options from the weapon systems screen? You see the name of the weapons installed on each slot of the ship and a percentage showing how upgraded that particular weapon system is. When you click on the weapon, it then takes you to a new screen that shows the weapon, highlights the fire arc of the weapon, displays the damage per shot, rate of fire, damage per second, and range of that weapon system. From that screen you would then have the option to upgrade the damage and range of the weapon.
However, it would be nice to have (instead of a linear progression of damage and range increases) the ability to upgrade each aspect of the weapon. Damage per shot, rate of fire, range, and fire arc. But to have a maximum number of 'points' you can put into each weapon system.
The main thing that the game lacks in its current form is the ability for the player to be aware of the current statistical value of the ships he is fielding.
Another thing that would be nice... In addition to knowing the value of yourself as a mercenary, it would be nice to know what exactly you field when used as a mercenary.
It would be nice if your 'fleet' had a statistical value (offense and defense) based on how many cards you have in your fleet, which cards they are, and how upgraded your weapons/ammo are. Then, when looking for an opponent to attack, it would be nice if you could see the value of their fleet. And when you attack them, the exp you get is based on the power difference between the two fleets. (Ex, taking a 2000 point fleet and winning against a 2200 point fleet gets you more xp than a 2000 point fleet vs an 1800 point fleet.
More missions / repeatable missions would be nice. I hate that I HAVE to raid other players in order to earn credits. Also, when you 'pay' to refresh your mercenaries... The money you pay should go to the player in question.
A space station card would be nice. Or even a 'mini' space station card that you can use.
